Adrian Ernul Brown III of Camden, NC, died Sunday, October 8, 2017. He was born November 15, 1948 in Greenville, NC to the late Adrian Ernul Brown Jr. of Manteo, NC. He was a graduate of Kellam High School and a member of South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church. Known as “Ernie” or “E”, he never knew a stranger and was loved by all. With Ernie, you knew you were welcome and loved! He enjoyed retired life with his family after a long career in the plastics industry and served his country honorably during the Vietnam War as a frontline rifleman for the United States Marine Corp.
Ernie is survived by his mother, Nan L. Brown; his wife of forty–one years, Beverly F. Brown; his sons, Larry Popperwill and fiancé Ginnie, Adrian Ernul Brown IV, and Justin Bradley Brown; his daughter, Tara Brengel and husband Bill; two brothers, Charles M. Brown and Kim A. Brown; seven grandchildren, Whitney, Haley, Madison, Jacob, Jordan, Zachary, and Evan; and many nieces and nephews who will all miss him dearly.
A memorial service will be Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m at Twiford Memorial Chapel with Minister Brad Giffin officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and at other times at the residence. Military honors will be rendered following the service.
