Bennett Braddy

Bennett Braddy, III, 58 of 106 Creek Road, Elizabeth City, NC died Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at the Albemarle Hospital.  A native of Pasquotank County, he was the son of the late Bennett Braddy, Jr., and Ruth Sawyer Braddy and the husband of Peggy McPherson Braddy of the residence.  He was a crew chief for Airship Management and a member of Faith Assembly of God.

Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Braddy Pack and husband Tony of Hawley, TX; a son, Christopher Bennett Braddy and wife Ichiko of Elizabeth City, NC; a sister, Donna B. Ingram and husband Grover of Shiloh, NC; two brothers, Darrell Braddy and wife Theresa of Camden, NC and Ricky Braddy and wife Vicky of Elizabeth City, NC; and four grandchildren, Hina Braddy, Tyler Braddy, Whitney Pack and Tucker Pack.  The Braddy family offers special thanks to the church family and neighbors.

A memorial service will be Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at Faith Assembly of God, 1551 Ocean Highway, Hertford, NC with the Rev. Philip Harden officiating.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Faith Assembly of God Building Fund.  The family will receive friends at the residence and immediately following the service in the church social hall.  Twiford Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC is assisting the Braddy family.  You may express condolences to the family by visiting www.twifordfh.com.

    Bennett has been a brother-in-law no “brother” for me for 30 plus years. He and Peggy were by Cathy’s and my side when we lost our daughter for that I will alway be in debt.     My deepest sympathy and prayers to Bennetts friends and family. Bennet was one of the first friends I made when I moved to the area and I am a better person for his friendship.
    Always upbeat and positive, Bennett could get one to smile even on the roughest of days.
