I can remember the day that Betty Jo was born back whenDr. Johnson did deliveries at his home in Manteo. She was the first grandchild in the Washington Baum family and much doted on by all in the family. She has brought much hope to those she knew in her daily life and in her years as medical assistant. She was optimistic, caring and dedicated to her family. Now that the physical pain is over, she will have peace and happiness in a better place. My condolences to all the family. Miriam

I miss you bet, Christmas day was sad but know you are with Jesus and mom, you were really loved by so many, wish you could read all the nice things that were said about you, your scholarship was a real surprise, but you were not one to brag about doing good. Happy New year dear sister, I think of you everyday. There is a strange hole in our lives. Sam put up your tree, your light was in your window, so your house was not dark. Wish I could have one more talk with you.
