Billie Roberts

Billie Gayle Cook Roberts, 66, of 412 Carter Road, Elizabeth City, NC, died Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.  Born in Fort Lee, VA, she was the daughter of the late Curtis Leon and Eula Davis Cook and was the wife of Vestal Eugene “Butch” Roberts.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Roberts is survived by a daughter, Andrea Sonnabend and husband Tony of Clarksville, TN; a son, Bradley Roberts and wife Leah of Elizabeth City, NC; a sister, Linda Howard of Claremore, OK; a brother, George Cook of Arlington, TX; four grandchildren, Amanda, Alora, Kai and Beckham; and her mother-in-law, Velta Roberts of Jay, OK.

A funeral service will take place Friday, September 27, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Corinth Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. David Turner officiating.  The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Twiford Memorial Chapel and immediately following the service at the church.  Twiford Funeral Home, 405 E. Church Street, Elizabeth City is assisting the Roberts family.  Condolences may be sent to the family at
