Bradford Taylor Swain, Sr., went home to be with the Lord on October 13, 2012. Leaving behind to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife of over 39 years, Donna Tolson Swain of Frisco; a daughter, Bonnie S. Trout and husband, Brooks Trout of Nitro, WV; a son, B.J. Swain, Jr. and wife, Mary of Ocracoke; five grandchildren, Zoee Trout, Haden Trout, andTaylor Brickhouse all of Nitro and Brayden Swain and Morgan Swain, both of Ocracoke.
Special people in his life, his adopted daughter, Leeann Canning of Hatteras and her children whom he adored and thought of as his own, Jasmine Quidley, John Canning, III and Kayleigh Canning all of Hatteras; nieces, Leagh Swain and Leann Swain.
Mr. Swain was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma O’Neal, his brother, Leon Swain and sister, Anna Swain. Brad leaves behind many friends and family. He will be missed for his laughter, love and kindness to others. He would give anything to anyone.
“Fly with the angels daddy. In God’s arms you are now resting, your laughter is still ringing loud and clear in our hearts and ears. See you soon in the by and by.”
A celebration of life will be in Lighthouse Assembly of God, Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dwight Burrus and Rev. Eric Hinson. Burial will be in the family cemetery in Frisco. Friends may join the family at Lighthouse Assembly of God Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. or at their home, 51247 Lullaby Lane, Frisco from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
