We, at Phoenix Restoration, were neighbors of Dana. We have for years watched him walk Cottton up and down Fresh Pond Drive. We often have as many as five dogs at our office, and from time to time Cotton would come visit. While we didn’t know Dana personally, his presence on our street will be missed. Our sincere condolences to his family and friends.

    Dear Brindley Family,
My heart was saddened to hear of Dana’s passing. He was always fun loving, cheerful and willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed assistance…even with a simple silly grin to cheer you up. Please accept my sincere condolences. Fondly,

  10. Cliff and Jeannie Williams

Dear Brindley family and Ms. Ledman,
We were shocked and deeply saddened when we heard of Dana’s passing. Dana was one of the first people in the OBX with whom we became close after we bought our home in Duck from Mssrs. Brindley and Twiddy. Dana did our landscaping and lawn care there until his injury forced his retirement. I always enjoyed our conversations, and he invariably just ‘dropped by’ when he knew we were there. He was one of the most interesting people I’ve known; I only wish I could have gotten him to call me Cliff instead of Mr. Williams.

  11. Jeanne Coote

I just learned of Dana’s passing and am very sadden by this. Dana was such a neat person and much fun to hang out with. Even though I have not seen him in several years I have often thought about him. You could always count on Dana to be wearing his flip flops all year long. What a great guy and a great loss. My heart goes out to his family and friends. He will truely be missed. Party on Dana.
