    Kathy and Elizabeth and Family,

I am sorry to hear of the loss of Dave. He was an outstanding person who I enjoyed working with, but also considered a great friend. I will fondly remember all the days (and sometime long nights) we spent together in Marietta, Ohio.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Please accept my deepest sympathies for the loss of your beloved, David. I realize you don’t know me; and I do not mean to impose. However I wanted to share what I hope will be something that encourages you.

Jesus said: “Do not be amazed at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” (John 5:28, 29) He later demonstrated this with the resurrection of his friend, Lazarus. Soon, we all will have the opportunity to welcome our loved ones back in a paradise earth.–Psalm 37:11, 29; Isaiah 14:7; Revelation 21:4.

I have known the family for many years, and I was so sad to read about this loss. Liz, I am so sorry; my own mom is at the end of her life right now, so I am learning by experience how hard it is to lose a parent. What a shame that the printer’s error caused your brother’s name to be omitted. Evan has impressed us all by graduating from law school and passing the bar: no small feat. You two are your dad’s legacy and I send you both my deepest sympathy.

  10. Peggy Dattilo

I had no idea he passed away. I am saddened. I spoke to him about 9-10 years ago. We hadn’t spoken in a few years, and I had no idea he was in a long term relationship. I am sorry for your loss Kathy. I was his high school girlfriend and would like to be in touch with someone who might tell me what he passed from, please feel free to contact me. This is sad news to hear.

Last night I had a dream about David. I searched the internet and found this site…How VERY SAD.

I was privileged to have him as a special friend since junior high school and he will always be a part of my fondest memories of the past. He was remembered by many of us at our Kankakee High School reunion last August. We all missed his presence there!
