Dorothy Bundy Godfrey, 87, of 541 Puddin Ridge Road, Moyock, NC died Monday, September 9, 2013 at Sentara Barco Nursing Center.  Born in Pasquotank County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Linwood and Gertrude Winslow Bundy and was the wife of the late Edward Eugene Godfrey, Sr.  Mrs. Godfrey was a member of Moyock United Methodist Church and had worked in Dr. Everette Sawyer’s office as an LPN.

She is survived by two daughters, Ann Godfrey Trainor of Currituck, NC and Trudy Godfrey Carter of Coinjock, NC; three sons, Edward E. Godfrey, Jr., Linwood C. Godfrey and James S. Godfrey, all of Moyock, NC; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service will take place Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Moyock Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Ricky Bishop officiating. The family will receive friends at the residence. Twiford Funeral Home, Memorial Chapel, 405 E.
