Egbert Slocum

Egbert Judson Slocum, 85, of 104 Charlene Drive, Elizabeth City, NC died Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at his residence.  A native of Sharon, CT, he was the son of the late Homer Slocum and Marion Judson Slocum and the widower of Sunya Weeks Slocum.  He was an insurance salesman; member of American Legion; and a veteran of the US Army serving in WWII.

He is survived by two daughters, Lyn Massiello and husband, Robert and Lisa Jae Lucas and husband Jerel; a son, Steven Slocum and wife, Shelly; six grandchildren, Leticia, Christina, Angelo, Amanda, Courtney, and Joseph; and two great grandchildren, Alexander and Kendrick.

A memorial service will take place in Dover Plains, NY at a later date.  Twiford Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC is assisting the Slocum family.
