Elizabeth Quidley Rowe, 61, of Manteo, died  peacefully in her sleep, Wednesday November 20, 2013, in her residence. Mrs. Rowe was a lifelong resident of Dare County and was formerly employed with Star Value Supermarket now Piggly Wiggly as a meat wrapper.

She was the daughter of the late Mack James Flynt and Irene Quidley Payne and was the wife of the late John Carl Nash, Sr.

Surviving are her son, John Carl Nash, Jr and wife Patricia of Manteo; five sisters, Lana Martinez of Manteo, Maxine Richards of Derry, NH,  Diane Flynt of Manteo, Frankie Self of Elizabeth City and Kathy Flynt of Chesterfield, VA; one brother, Buddy Payne of Manteo; Grandchildren, John Carl Amsbary, Michael Patrick Nash, Christopher Mascio, Katie Mascio Morgan; Great grandchildren, Gabriel Amsbary and Hope Elyse Mascio.  Mrs. Quidley is also survivied by her former husband Bruce Rowe and special friend Robert Brickhouse.

A celebration of life will be in Manteo Baptist Church, Saturday November 23, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Ken Simpson. Friends may join the family at Twiford Funeral Home, Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to John Nash, Jr c/o Wells Fargo Bank in Manteo to help with funeral expenses.

    oh boy can i tell some stories about the times we hav shared from my birth on u hav been there obx vacations were always a blast from seeing u at s and r to the beach was always good memories all the vienna sausages we hav shared to the bucket of water to pour on u i use to think then gosh cant she just get n the water and pee and then it went to come hav a drink with me and boy did we hav a many the times i rode with granny n ur nova to take u home to the times pickles would drive me down rowe lane but the stories n between wow we dont want everyone to know our business i can just say this much at this point all the bad memories r way gone and i will always live on the good memories my favorite sayin from u is if u rnt busy later come hav a drink i regret the times i wasnt busy and ddnt come we must enjoy every moment that we r here as i did with u u will live with me forever and never b forgotten much love crystal
