    In Loving Memory of
    Evelyn Helms
    November 5, 2013

    PEACE
    The peace that comes,
When there is no earthly hope,
The cry you hear grows soft.
The look you see on the pale worn face,
Says rest, all is well with my soul.
For I linger no more on earthly terrain,
I ache no more with pain.
I tremble now my last breath,
As I’m slowly overcome by death.
Don’t cry for me because you’re sad,
For my tears are only of joy.
    For the peace that comes,
    With my last breath,
    Brings hope, from another world.
For I am here, with no pain,
    My cries no longer exist.
Sorrow yes, you may know now,
But there it touches me not.
There are no words with which to explain,
No money this joy could’ve bought.
    For the peace that comes
    With my last breath,
Is the peace, my whole life I’ve sought.

    Elizabeth Helms Briggson
    Granddaughter

Sad to hear of Evelyn’s passing. She was a wonderful person. Only knew her from brief plumbing visits, but we always had a good conversation each time. Her gift bags of truffles, were her signature smile to me. Will miss her.
