I considered him a dear friend, a great man, and one of the most practical logical men that I have ever known. I have worked in different judicial districts all over Eastern NC, and I have to say that Frank was the finest prosecutor that I have ever worked with. The Devil better beware because I am sure Frank is itching to try him. My friend you will be missed. God Bless his family and friends.

When I first became a Magistrate, Mr. Parrish told me to call on him if I ever had a concern or question about anything dealing with criminal processes, (and I did). Truly, a GIANT in the judicial community that will sorely be missed. He has prosecuted his last case and I do believe that the Lord has received him and said, ‘Well Done’. Prayers go out to the entire Parrish family

  41. L.P. Sink

    Dear Kim and Family,
I have had the pleasure of knowing Frank since 1979 when he was hired as an assistant DA. I have spent countless hours in different court rooms around the First District with him trying cases. There was never a dull moment because for all his serious side he would be sitting at the table giving an argument to a Judge on case law and would lean over and say something that would be hysterically funny and just look at you just as serious. I still have a couple of Jerry Garcia’s ties that he would always comment on whenever he saw them.
Frank was a kind and compassionate man and a brilliant trial lawyer. He truly loved his family, his church and his work for the citizens in the First District. I will truly miss my old friend. God Bless you Frank and to you Kim and family you are in my thoughts and prayers.

  42. Patsy Brite

Frank was a special person. Thankfully I knew him from the right side of the law. He had a way of making people laugh. Once he knew you he never forgot you. Prayers and heartfelt sympathy to you all.

  43. Mary Jolliff Moore

How blest are the family who could claim Frank Parrish as their own! He was so earnest, so thorough, so funny! I knew him from my days at KDHPD, as a Magistrate, and as a Deputy Sheriff in Dare Co. I don’t know a negative thing about him, and there were many laughs when he was near. NOT in Court–he was very sober on the job. My condolences to the family and to his many friends.

  44. Pam Brown

Kim, my prayers are with you and the family. I will miss discussing the great books we’ve read. Frank always had a smile and a story.

I found out today that Mr. Frank Parrish passed away and I instantly was brought to tears. A few years ago, I met him after my father passed and learned from others how well he treated my father.
