Graham Riddick
Graham Clay Riddick, 78, of 1218 Ramsey Road, Elizabeth City, NC, died Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Guardian Care of Elizabeth City. Born in Pasquotank County, NC, he was the son of the late Allan and Margaret Markham Riddick and was the husband of Daisy Keech Riddick of the home. Mr. Riddick was a retired shipyard worker, having worked for Norshipco for thirty-three years. He was a member of Forest Park Church of God.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Riddick is survived by two daughters, Marvetta Meads of Cameron, NC and Margaret Virginia Spraggins of Dover, DE; two sons, Ricky Lynn Riddick and Alan Riddick, both of Elizabeth City, NC; a step-daughter, Teresa Lynn Green of Farmville, NC; two step-sons, Billy Joe Squires of Washington, NC and Larry Wilson Squires of Blounts Creek, NC; a sister, Bessie Fortenberry of Elizabeth City, NC; two brothers, Talmadge Riddick of Saratoga, FL and Robert Riddick of Chesapeake, VA; sixteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Murphy Potter “Jack” Riddick, Thomas Riddick and Donald Wayne Riddick.
A funeral service will take place Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Park Church of God with the Rev. Scott Neal officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel and at all other times at the residence. Twiford Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC is assisting the Riddick family. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.twifordfh.com.
