    To all the Ward boys:
    My thoughts and prayers are with each of you. Your parents were special to me, especially when I was growing up on Church Street. Your Grandmother, Adelaide, was my favorite person. I wish you could have known her.
    Although it has been some years since I had seen your Dad, I will always remember him. He came to Mother’s (Ida’s) funeral in 1999. He sold me (through Daddy (Edward), my first car, an Olds 85, in 1966! I left town for my first job in this very car! So, your family has been significant in my life. I know Howard is in a better place, and I hope your own grief of these losses will be eased by good memories.

    To Howard’s family,
    We were both very sorry to hear of Howard’s passing. Just last weekend, we were talking to Doug Marriner and he was telling us about playing music with Howard and also that he taught him another instrument.
    May you all find comfort in knowing you are in the thoughts and prayers of others.

    Chap, Kevin, and Barry;

    I’m sorry for your loss.

    I admired Mr. Howard as a man and as a great musician. I loved to hear him and Vince Chory talk about their old band and the gigs they played.
