Jay leaving has happened far too soon. I know your family will experience incomprehensible grief and sadness. We are so very sorry for your loss. Words may not help, but we will lift you up with prayer. He used to come in to spoil his dog after going to the beach for a walk. We’ve also had numerous delicious meals prepared with love and a smile from Jay. Just want you to always remember, he touched a lot of people and we will miss him.

Thanks for all of the thoughful comments. I haven’t had the opportunity of meeting alot of you guys, but the memories are all we have of Jay now. I thank Rex, and Melissa (please excuse me if I have gotton your name incorrectly Melissa)for stopping by last nite by Jim and Nancy’s. Great friends. If anyone does have any experiences with Jay that you would like to share, as painful as it is, I would like to hear from anyone who has a story to tell. I don’t know if Jim and Nancy have looked at this form, as it is painful right now, but it just helps somehow that everyone’s comments are good, and upbeat. However, feel free to email me on my personal email as I feel like I have missed alot from not keeping closer to Jay than I have.

Live well, be kind & wise, and remember we all are here for just a little period of time.

Jay was a big part of my life growing up in Chesapeake. We had years of memories and good times to cherish. It is a blessing to have known and loved someone who was so kind and enjoyed life. He was a great friend and brother to me and I hope he knows how positively he affected people with his kindness and that Vick smile. Our deepest sympathies to his family and our hope that our love and prayers provide you with comfort during this most difficult time.

I met Jay my senior year at high school and he became my best friend instantly. All the friends I have had since then can’t compare to Jay. He was one of a kind. A kind and generous person that would give anything to anyone. I am very sorry for your loss, Mr. and Mrs. Vick. Take care ol’ friend. I’m really going to miss you.

As we prepare to celebrate Jay’s life tomorrow, I want to thank everyone who has shared sweet memories of my favorite nephew. Jay is such a precious soul – words fail me as I try to remain upbeat when my heart is broken. Chris, do not feel quilt – Jay knew you loved him – he knew we all loved him. He would not want us filled with regrets and sadness. I echo Chris’s words and share something that Jay told me last summer & that is that family is most important. Tell your family you love them and keep them close. Let that be one of the many legacies this wonderful man leaves for all of us.Peace
