Jane Small Ferebee, 84, of 332 Highway #343 North, Camden, NC died Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Albemarle Hospital.  Mrs. Ferebee, a native of Pasquotank County, was the daughter of the late James Charles Small, Sr. and Baynie Fletcher Small and the widow of John Edwin “Ed” Ferebee.  She was a member of Sawyer’s Creek Baptist Church, a former Sunday School Teacher, Choir Member, and Assistant Church Secretary.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda Ferebee, Martha Ferebee, and Susan Ferebee Jennings and husband Jeff, all of Camden, NC; a son, John E. Ferebee, Jr., and wife Helyn Goldstein of Scarsdale, NY; and eleven grandchildren, Edwin Ward, Nathaniel Meiggs, Ethan Meiggs, Blair Meiggs, Bryant Jennings and wife Courtney, Emily Jennings, Austin Jennings, Scott Jennings, Charlie Ferebee, Sam Ferebee, and Stevie Ferebee.  She was pre-deceased by a sister, Frances Delaney and a brother, James Small, Jr.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.  at Sawyer’s Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Kevin Buzzard officiating.  A private burial will be in the Ferebee Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall and at other times at the residence.  Twiford Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC is serving the Ferebee family.  You may express condolences to the family by visiting www.twifordfh.com.
