Janie Meyer

Janie Ramsey Meyer, 58 of 1848 Shortcut Road, Shawboro, NC died Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Sentara Norfolk. A native of Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Eunice Ward Lane and the wife of Dennis Meyer of the residence. She was a homemaker and a life member of the VFW Post 6060 Ladies Auxiliary.

Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Joseph Benton and wife Audra of Chesapeake, VA and Lloyd Ramsey and wife Cynthia of Camden, NC; ten grandchildren.

A memorial service will be Sunday, October 20, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Lawrence Wayne Sawyer officiating at New Vision Community Church, 1847 Shortcut Road, Highway 158, Shawboro, NC.     To the family of Janie Meyer I would like to express my condolence to all of you. I did not know Janie physically, but I knew her in spirit she was a friend of Teresa Acree who was very fond of her, so I became to know Janie through Teresa she sounded like she was a very sweet person. Janie is in a great place now a place that most of us is striving to be one day. God Bless You All through this time of loss.

    My sincere sympathies to the family of Janie. She had a unique special spirit that I was drawn to. She was a sweet and a real person who truly loved her Savior Jesus. I am so thankful the Lord put us togethor for a season. She will dwell in the House of the Lord forever. THE LORD has indeed been glorified.

    Words are not enough to express our heartfelt sympathies for the loss of your mother. We can all take some comfort knowing she is no longer in pain. She will be missed by all.

    Janie, You were my dear sweet friend for a lot of years. I’m sorry I had to learn of your passing this way. I hope and pray your boys made peace with you before it was to late. We of course had our ups and downs but we always knew we had each others back. You are with our Lord now and free from all the pain and sparrow. I will miss you dearly. I love you dear friend.
