Phil, Connie, please accept my heart felt condolances for the loss of your son. I cannot begin to understand your heartbreak, just know that you have many people praying for you during this very tough time. You are in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless you, your family and your son Joshua.

  7. TJ MARI

Phil, Connie, and family it hurts my heart to know the pain you are feeling. I know this pain through the loss of my own son. Know that no words can relieve it but the meaningful feelings behind the words do mean something. Through religious beliefs acceptance is easier. The pain will subside. Look to god, family, and friends to help endure this. Celebrate and reflect upon the life he had and all of the good things shared during his time with you. May God bless you and watch over you. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

  8. Katieh

No words other than what God has placed in my heart for you…. God has placed a covering over you to help with healing and understanding. He knows you and wants you to know HIM EVEN DEEPER now. He is holding you close to HIS heart for comfort and security and will continue to use this season for growth in HIM. Take comfort and know you have The Father’s love. I will continue to pray for you guys. In HIS love, Katieh Hirsch – (Friend, Sister in Christ, and fellow BAE Systems coworker).

Phil, I’m sorry for your loss. My prayer is these words of comfort will help you and your family in your time of grieving. Just remember that Earth has no sorrow that heaven can not heal.
The bible says: But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.

  10. Tyler A Willis

I worked side by side with Josh as an Outside Machinist, sometimes for months straight. I remember him well. I remember him having difficult days, don’t we all. I remember our shared joys and moments of seriousness. I don’t remember him ever being judgmental, petty, dishonest, or callous towards others. He always shared what he had, giving. His time was short here on Earth. May he be blessed for his efforts of compassion and grace. I pray for Josh and his family. Love conquers all.

  27. Ana

I am so sorry for your loss. Although, I do not know your family personally, I would like to share some encouraging thoughts from the Bible. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Very soon now, we will never experience losing our loved ones in death. May these words give you a new hope.

  28. Greg Didier

I never worked with Josh, but i would see him in the inside machine shop at BAE almost daily.I would say he had one of the best attitudes one could have in the shipyard. And i will miss him.I pray God will comfort and bless all of you in a mighty way, until Jesus comes and
    hes coming soon.GoD Bless.

    The Return of the Lord

13But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.(

With deep concern please accept my condolences for the loss Joshua Barnes, may this pain turnaround into hope, unfailing hope that brings true joy and peace. Listen to when God speaks through verses and scriptures, with prayer for understanding let God’s Word console and gradually minimize the pain and grief until it is no more. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, … to everlasting life… Daniel 12:2 “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever.” John 14:16; John 5:28,29; Psalms 37:29
