My deepest sympathies to the family – husband, sons and grandchildren. Mrs. Blount was a wonderful woman and one of my mom’s closet friends. In addition, she was a second mom in the neighborhood to many, including me. As a teenager, her and I sat at her kitchen table and she listened as we discussed boys, college, etc. She was loved by many and will be missed by many. She truly made an imprint on many and I am better off for knowing her. Godspeed to her family and close friends.

For sure she is now with the Lord in Heaven above. We hope that provides you comfort in the coming days.

  49. Michelle (Jordan) Fox

I am the grandaughter of Ms. Pauline Jordan and spent my summers in Shiloh. Mrs. Blount was one of my favorite people – always so sweet. I loved seeing her at church and visiting with her at her kitchen table. I visited several years ago but unfortunately Mrs. Blount wasn’t home. Oh how I wish she had been! I will treasure my memories of her. She was a very special lady! My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

  50. Denise Gregory

    Dear Family,
Just about an hour ago I was visiting with Faye Pugh as we had our vehicles worked on at Camden Shell. She mentioned Tanya was home for Judy’s funeral and my heart just sank. I didn’t know about her death. All the wonderful and fun times flooded my mind of being with Judy either riding back and forth from school (work) or all the time together because of church. She was one of the most loving , caring people I have ever known. We always joked about hearing Aunt Mae and Uncle Wiley in the house and now she has the chance to talk with them in person in that home prepared just for her.
My love and prayers for peace and comfort to you all.

    In His Care,
    Denise

  51. Elaine & John Mazur

Al, Jeffrey, Stuart,Brandon and all your dear families, just know that the void you feel at this time has been felt by others so some of us can empathize and others sympathize, however it will do nothing to lighten your load. A wife and mother cannot be replaced, but may God grant each of you His grace for getting through such a difficult time. I will always remember that infectious laugh of hers. It tickled the “innerds” of so many; We all shall miss her!

  52. Gaynor & Spencer White

Judy was so very special to me, both when I worked with her and as a friend. I never will forget her reaction when Travis told her she had to begin using a computer. I am sorry for this tragic loss of a person who loved life and especially those grandkids.

  53. Christie Pugh Sanders

Al and family, I am so very sorry to hear of Judy’s passing. She was one of the sweetest persons I have ever known. I enjoyed working with her at the Board of Education and having her as a friend. She was a joy to be around.
