Kathleen Riddick Harrell Eubanks, 88, of 15 Timmerman Drive, Elizabeth City, NC died Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Elizabeth City Health and Rehabilitation. She was born October 23, 1928 in Washington County to the late Ellis Linwood Riddick and Neva Davenport Riddick. She was married to the late Walter Stanton Harrell and they were blessed with four children. After his death, she was married to Earl M. Eubanks. In June 1983, she retired from her job as Assistant Clerk of Superior Court of Pasquotank County and was a member of Journey Christian Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Kathy Harrell Johnson, Priscilla Lynn Harrell and Sarah Harrell Lane and husband Carl all of Elizabeth City, NC; a son, Walter S. Harrell, Jr. and wife Lisa of Merry Hill, NC; a sister, Mary Lamb of Hamilton, AL; two brothers, Thurman Riddick and wife Alice of Palatka, FL, and Linwood Riddick and wife Beverly of Columbus, GA. She was “Mamaw” to seven grandchildren, Katie Johnson, Shelly H. Percorella, Walter Thomas Harrell, James Harrell, Thomas Lane, Alice H. Oliver, and Will Lane; and four great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by two sisters, Rachel Woolard and Martha Wilhelm; and a brother Lloyd Gibson.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Twiford Memorial Chapel with Minister Homer Styons officiating. Burial will follow in Old Hollywood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home and at other times at the residence.
