Kay Millikan
Kay Frances Millikan, 75, of 128 Coral Court, Grandy, NC, died Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital. Born in Pasquotank County, NC, she was the daughter of the late William Shelton Stafford and Edna Frances Scott Alderson and was the wife of the late Hobart Franklin Millikan. Mrs. Millikan was a homemaker and a member of the Coinjock American Legion 288 Auxillary.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Smithson and husband Ricky of Camden, NC, Shelly Reese and husband Tommy of Camden, NC and Lorrie Hunt and significant other Chris Pease of Norfolk, VA; a brother, William C. Alderson, Jr.; seven grandchildren, Seth E. Longwitz, Kelly L. Longwitz, Amanda J. Smithson, Michael J. Reese, Amanda N. Reese, Holly M. Hunt and Timmy L. Hunt; and a great-grandson, Aden L. Bray. She was predeceased by a son, Kelly Issac Cass, Jr.
A memorial service will take place Sunday, February 19, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Boyce Porter officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the lobby of the funeral home. Twiford Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC is assisting the Millikan family.
