I am so sorry for your loss. Although, I do not know your family personally, I would like to share some encouraging thoughts from the Bible. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Very soon now, we will never experience losing our loved ones in death. May these words give you a new hope.

  27. Meta Wallace

Mark was one of our dearest, and best friends for the past 45 or more years. He was a tough guy with a huge heart, always thinking of what he could do help the people he cared about. He was part of one of the finest and closest of families that we have known.
Mark was a great and successful business man with an exceptional work ethic, and he loved his work, but all as a means to make sure he did right for his children. He loved his children first, then his work and, of course, sports.
Doug and I will miss our weekly phone conversations with him. And his great laugh.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Sullivan family. We love you all. Rest in peace, Mark

  37. Dan Turner

My name is Dan Turner. My family lived two houses over from Mark and his family in Vienna Virginia from 1961 to 1967. Some of my best happiest memories of my life are rooted to the small court where we all lived and were friends. Remember playing kick the can game into the dark of the summer nights. The baseball games we played in Kramer court. Fire flies blinking at night and learning to ride bicycles… THOSE were the grand old days. The memories of our youth. Mark was the leader of the court clan. My two sisters CINDY and Kathy forever cherish their times with Mark and family. All of MARKS family is forever special and set a mark of what we could or should be. He was an achiever of happiness, excellence, and a leader to all of us younger kids who looked up to him.
Hi to Andrew. It’s been a long good journey. Thanks for fighting older than me kids so I did not get hurt. You protected the kids of KRAMER Court. Hello to your older sister. And hi to Crissy as I called her. I always thought when I grew up I would merry you… OOOPS the secret is out 47 years later…
Enjoy life to all who read this note.
I wish we could have a Kramer court and other friends reunion. Someone think about it… Keep dreaming… MEMORIES are real. They can be very emotional. My memories of MARK and his beautiful family are a gift from god.. keep on trucking everybody… Danny Turner 1967

  38. Mary C Stoudt

It has been few years since I saw Mark. My cousin recommended him to us as a good contractor to build our house. We found him to be honest, helpful and a great person. I was shocked to hear of his death. We liked him and when we built second house, we were happy to have him and his brother build that one also.
To the family, my deepest condolences. My thoughts are with you. He was some one I will always remember.

  39. Randy Rowell

I will never forget Mark. With no real knowledge or building experience, by friend Bobby and I started a cottage. We were so blessed Mark and Andy were building a cottage next door. Mark knew right away we had no clue what we were doing. He helped us so much and never took a dime. The next summer I begged him to let me work with him. After a lot of arm twisting he finally agreed and then began to teach me so much. He loved what he was doing and was great at it. I later became a general contractor and when I had a building problem I could always count on him to help me out. Been in the building trades over 25 years now and have never met another contractor like him. A great contractor and even a greater guy. It was my pleasure to know him. My prayers go out to his family, and especially Andy.
