Jean Tennent Meyer, a resident of Avon NC, formerly of Poughkeepsie and New Windsor, NY, passed away on April 20th with her family by her side. She was in her 82nd year. Jean was born in Chappaqua, New York on August 14, 1929 to the late Alice Dring Tennent and John Tennent and attended Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park, NY, where she was captain of the cheerleading team. Upon graduating from Plattsburg State College with a degree in home economics, Jean began a career of professional excellence.
