Oscar Brighty Betts, 95, of 33 Timmerman Drive, Elizabeth City, NC died Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at W.R. Winslow Memorial Home.  Born in Pasquotank County, NC, he was the son of the late John Wilson Betts and Lovey Virginia Jones Betts and was the husband of the late Grace Sample Betts and the late Ruth Wood Markham Betts.  Mr. Betts was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a retired manager from Winslow Oil Company.
