She was born October 18, 1940 in Woodland, NC, to the late William Cecil, and Dorothy Bridgers Powell, and was the loving wife of William “Bill” Howell for 50 years. Linda graduated from Woodland Olney High School in 1959, and then went to Louise Obici School of Nursing, graduating in 1962 as a registered nurse.
