Taylor.  She was a member of the Enfield United Methodist Church. Ms. Taylor is survived by a daughter, Judy T. Robert Lewis “Bob” Cranton, 83, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011. Bob was born January 23, 1928 and grew up in Saint Johnsbury, VT.  After attending St. Johnsbury Trade school he joined the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Duck, North Carolina where he met and married Lorraine after only a three month courtship. They were married for 63 wonderful years. Jean Bakay Gregory, of Shawboro, NC, was born to Polish immigrants Mary and George Bakay on September 19, 1916 in Garfield, New Jersey.  She was working as a hairdresser when she met her future husband Thomas Edwin Gregory on the Ferris wheel at the Palisades Park amusement park in New Jersey.  Edwin, known as “Big Ed”, was serving in the Coast Guard at the time.   They married January 29, 1944 and later moved to Shawboro, NC, where Edwin had been raised.
