  27. Charles "Chuck" Clark - Manteo, NC

My sincere condolences to the Johnson family. I’ve known Richard since I was a kid way back in the Royal Rangers days @ Assembly of God Church in Manteo. I had the privilege of working with Richard for 10 of my 11 years with the phone company. He was a good friend, and he was a great co-worker. Even though we did not work in the same department, he would call me if he finished his work early, to see if I needed a hand before he left. That’s just the kind of guy he was. I am so glad I went to visit him this past Tuesday, he motioned me to hug him before I left, as he had the last few times I saw him, but I never thought it would be the last. RIP my friend, you will be missed.
