Robert Hare
Robert Lee Hare, 69, of 639 Body Road, Elizabeth City, NC died Sunday, December 19, 2010 at Albemarle Hospital. Born in Pasquotank County, NC, he was the son of the late Robert Elvin Hare and the late Myrtle Stafford Hare and was the husband of Rebecca Jewell Hare of the residence. Mr. Hare was a veteran, having served in the United States Army and was a member of the William Clarence Jackson VFW Post 6060. Along with his wife of forty-nine years, he is survived by his brother, James Elvin Hare and wife Anna of Elizabeth City, NC; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hare was preceded in death by his brother, William Leon Hare. Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. F. Joe Griffith officiating and military honors being rendered by the William Clarence Jackson VFW Post 6060. The family will receive friends at the residence.
