Robert Jones

Robert Eugene Jones, 79, of 120 Taylor’s Lane, Camden, NC died Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the Albemarle Hospital. A native of Fayette County, WV, he was the son of the late Robert Jones and Gladys Dodd Jones and the widower of Barbara Jean Jones. He served in the U.S. Navy and the U. S. Coast Guard as an Electronics Technician. He was an independent insurance salesman and a member of the CPOA Club.

He is survived by three sons, Wayne Jones and wife Sandra and Scott Jones and wife Linda all of Camden, NC and Gene Jones of Elizabeth City, NC; three grandchildren, Bobby Jones and wife Danielle, Lauren Jones and fiancé J. T. Copeland, and Tawny Jones; and one great grand daughter, Kaiden Lowe.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Twiford Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Moehring officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Cemetery with Military Honors rendered by the William Clarence Jackson VFW Post #6060. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and at other times at the residence of the son, Scott Jones, 123 Pine Street, Camden, NC. Memorial donations may be made to the Camden County High School Athletics Department, 103 US 158 West, Camden, NC 27921.
