Robert Lee Jones, Jr 64, of Manteo died Sunday, July 7, 2013 in his residence. Mr. Jones was born in Lexington, KY and was retired as manager of ABC store in Nags Head after 25 years of service. He was a lifelong enthusiast of Harley Davidson motorcycles and enjoyed riding.

He was the son of Jaunita Satterly Jones Wells and his step-father the late Roy Wells and his father the late Robert Lee Jones, Sr and is survived by his wife Linda Diane Jones.

In addition to his wife and mother, surviving are two sons, Joshua Lee Jones and Christopher Scott Jones; one step-son, Brian Keith Bullock and a brother Mike Wells. Mr. Jones is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.

A service of remembrance will be in Twiford Funeral Home Manteo, Sunday July 14, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. by Rev. Frank Lassen.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930 Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834 or Dare Hospice, P.O. Box 1000, Manteo, NC 27954.

    I am so happy that I have had the pleasure of being able to be there for Bob and his family during the past several months. Bob will be missed dearly but we know that he has went to a better place and no longer has to suffer. I love you all.

    Diane, I am so sorry for your loss. I pray for comfort and peace during this difficult time. This is hard as I have been thru this but there will come a time when you see this as a blessing that pain and suffering that God took away. I pray and keep you close to my heart. Keith, take good care of your MOM!
