Robert Nick

Wanchese, NC

 Robert White Nick, 85, of Wanchese, NC died on Monday, February 20, 2012, in a Nags Head nursing home.  Mr. Nick, born in Tomahawk, WI, was retired from Civil Service and together with his wife, owned and operated NICK-E Stained Glass of Wanchese.  He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Chesapeake, VA.  He was the husband of Ellinor Castner Nick of the residence.

Besides his wife, Mr. Nick is survived by a sister, Thelma Baum (the late Sommers Baum); children, Walter and Lottie Baum, Thomas and Mickey Baum, Richard and Anna Baum, Lisa and Michael Perry, Allen and DeAnne Baum, and Lyle and Joan Payne; grandchildren, Valerie and Jimmy Bliven, Scarlet and Brantley Clarke, Shane and Kellie Baum, Amy Garretson, Richard Baum, Jr., Carolyn and Steve Brown, Ashley Heppert, Carla and Ben Burge, Gregory and Emily Baum, Patty and Tommy Danchise, Tracy and Katrina Payne; great-grandchildren, Tina and Larry, Rodney (deceased), Anthony and fiancé, Meghan, Caleb, Taylor and fiancé, Taylor, Carley, Stephen, Gatlin, Jackson, Hunter, Megan , Emma, Heaven, Angela, Eli, Jonah, Kera and Lonnie; great-great-grandchildren, Bryson, Raegan, and Landon.

Funeral services will be held at Twiford Funeral Home, Manteo on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 11:00 am with Rev. Christian Morales officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.  Burial will be in Cudworth Cemetery.  There will be a reception following the service at the home of Tina and Larry Sherrod, 41 Hickman Lane, Wanchese.
