Sophia Creasy

Sophia Perry Creasy, 92, of 215 Simpson Street, Elizabeth City, NC died Monday, October 22, 2012 at Winslow Memorial Nursing Home. A native of Pasquotank County, she was the daughter of the late Henry H. Perry and Missouri Pritchard Perry and the widow of Donald Floyd Creasy. She was retired from Belk’s and was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church.
She is survived by; two sons, Donald Larry Creasy and Floyd Alan “Bubba” Creasy both of Elizabeth City, NC; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren; two special nieces, Annette Perry Gregory of Elizabeth City, NC and Phyllis Perry Clark of Marion, IN; two nephews, Rev. Paul Dewayne Perry of Georgetown, IN, and Ronald Edward Rose of Sanford, FL. She was pre-deceased by a daughter, Sandra Faye Creasy; a sister, Inez Perry Rose; and three brothers, William I. Perry, Phillip P. Perry, and Seth E. Perry. The family would like to thank the staff of Winslow’s Memorial Home for the care of Mrs. Creasy.
A funeral service will be Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Julia Webb-Bowden and the Rev. Paul Perry officiating. Burial will be in New Hollywood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence and immediately after the service in the lobby of the funeral home. Mrs. Annette and Creasy family , I am sorry for your loss. I didn’t know her personally but, my aunt and uncle lived on Simpson St. Daily and Mae. GOD BLESS YOU ALL WITH MEMORIES.

Sophia was my grandma but more like my mother. Her and my grandfather took me in at two years old and raised me for about ten years. My grandmother was an amzing woman and did everything she could for me. I honestly dont think anybody on this planet could love me as much as she did. It still doesnt see real that shes gone. I love and miss you grandma and will see you again one day.
