Stephen Parks Wallace, 60, of 800 Briarwood Road, Elizabeth City, died Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at his residence. He was born July 30, 1957 in Nassawadox on Virginia’s Eastern Shore and grew up loving the out of doors, especially hunting and fishing. He was an avid Packers fan, enjoyed woodworking and could fix almost anything. He was a dedicated and loving family man.
He is survived by Sheryl Mathews Wallace, his wife of thirty-nine years; his mother and father, Patricia Parks Chick and Donald Chick; three daughters, Nichole Wallace of Camden, Amber Luff (Joseph) of Jacksonville, and Angela Smithheart (Randy) of Virginia Beach; nine grandchildren; a sister, Bonnie Winslow (T.P.) of Camden, NC; three nieces; and five nephews. He was preceded in death by his birth father, Jerry Wallace; maternal grandparents, Edith and Frank Parks; and paternal grandparents, Thelma Chapman and Harry Wallace.
A memorial service will be held at Sawyers Creek Baptist Church in Camden, NC on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Buzzard officiating.
