In this world we are just strangers, passing through this life in flesh and bone. Tammie’s body was just a shell for her beautiful, loving, inspirational spirit. Now her spirit flies free on heaven’s shore. Tammie was more than just a patient to me, she was a friend, an inspiration, a fighter. She made a delicious German Chocolate cake, She loved her family with all her heart and she will always be with you. I am so sorry for your loss, but rejoice she is no longer in pain and with our Heavenly Father this day.

Tammie and me became friends at Kitty Hawk Elem and continued throughout our school years. Somehow we would run into each other every few years. Taking care of our families and me moving meant the closeness we once shared was lost in our busy lives. Then I found out Johnnie and her were now friends with my dad. They told me she was fighting the fight of her life. I never did get to tell her that we still thought of her often and we were praying and pulling for her. She is someone we could all learn from. Her sense of humor and determination without the self pity. I admire you Tammie and will see you again when God invites us all home. RIP our friend – Kim Outlaw Paul and Michael Paul.
