Victor Wilson

Victor Lee Wilson, June 30th, 1976 – June 6th, 2010 (33 years of age), resident of Kill Devil Hills, NC, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2010 peacefully at Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA with his family by his side after a courageous 15 day battle from a tragic motorcycle accident on Friday, May 21st, 2010. Vic was born in Fairfax, VA and moved to the Outer Banks at the age of 14 with his family where he graduated from Manteo High School. He was a highly talented individual that liked to work with his hands in all forms of skilled labor.

He was the son of Delbert Victor, Jr. and Donna Marie Wilson and was the beloved father to his two sons, Victor “Hayes” age 13, and Jordan Lee Wilson age 6. Vic will forever be remembered by his three loving sisters, Della Jo, Emma and Jennifer Wilson along with maternal grandparents, Janice Elaine and Henry “Red” Byrum, and paternal grandparents, Delbert Victor, Sr. and Josephine Evelyn Wilson in addition to his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends whom were all blessed to know him.

Vic had a wonderful, vibrant personality, giving more than he ever took, loved goofing-off and playing with his children, riding his motorcycle, being with his family, bringing out the best in everyone he met, having fun with family and friends, and of course laughing at every opportunity. Vic touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his trademark battle instinct all the way to the end of his life on earth. Though Vic will be sorely missed here, he was greatly welcomed by the Lord our Savior in Heaven, now an angel to those to whom he loved and those who loved him.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Victor’s Life on Wednesday, June 9th, 2:30 p.m. at The Jarvisburg Church of Christ, 121 Forbes Road, Jarvisburg, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to endow a fund that has been established to support his minor children. Donations can be made to “The Wilson Family Benefit Fund” at any BB&T bank or mail a check to PO Box 13, Grandy, NC 27939. Twiford’s Funeral Home, 405 Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC is assisting the Wilson family.
