Captain Murray was an avid fisherman since the young age of thirteen when he began working as a mate on charter boats. He progressed during his life as the captain of commercial vessels sailing from the north and south Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean. His love for the sea and fishing defined him as a legend among the locals and the many situations he faced on the open water were inspiring adventures. At gatherings with family and friends, he was begged to play his guitar and sing country songs. Murray’s special voice and presence captivated his audiences, large and small, old and young. He gave all he had to give and never expected anything in return; he was just happy to help anyone in need. He loved to talk and was always entertaining with his stories. He was never selfish with his broad smile and handshake to all who knew him well and to those he had just met for the first time. Murray’s legacy would be that he was liked by all and loved by many.
