William Kroner

William Joseph Kroner, 89, of Moyock, NC died Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Sentara Barco.  Mr. Kroner, a native of Pittsburg, PA, was the son of the late Joseph Kroner and Clara Sodum Kroner.  He was a retired Federal Building Manager, a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, a member of American Legion Post 531 and St. Joseph Catholic Church in New Kensington, PA.

He is survived by a daughter, Kathy Pallette and husband Richard of Moyock, NC; a son, William Kroner Jr., and wife Trish of Moyock, NC; three grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.   He was pre-deceased by two grandchildren, Sable Kroner and Joseph Kroner.

A graveside funeral service will be Monday, September 23, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Moyock Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. F. Joe Griffith officiating.  The William Clarence Jackson VFW Post 6060 will render military honors.  The family will receive friends at the residence.  Twiford Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC is serving the Kroner family.  You may express condolences to the family by visiting www.twifordfh.com.

    We send our deepest sympathies for our Uncle Bill. We have not seen him for years but always remember him as a wonderful man. Our mother Alice is his sister and she is in poor health but we will let her know. All of our love to the family.
