Bruce Frank Atkinson, Jr., 53, of 181 Chatman Etheridge Road, Moyock, NC, died Saturday, July 12, 2003 at Albemarle Hospital. He was born in Columbia, SC to Harriet Cunningham Atkinson of Concord, NC and the late Bruce Frank Atkinson, Sr., and was the husband of Dianne Harris Atkinson of the residence. He was an electrician.

Besides his wife and mother, Mr. Atkinson is survived by two daughters, Julie Atkinson Caldwell and husband David of Charlotte, NC and Rachel Carmen Atkinson of the residence; one sister, Virginia Atkinson Marie of Concord, NC; two nieces, Carla and Karen Marie both of Concord, NC; and one nephew, Matthew Marie of Concord, NC.

A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at 11:00 AM at Laurel Memorial Gardens, Poplar Branch, NC by Pastor Lee Porter. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel and at other times at the residence. Please visit www.twifordfh.com to sign the online register.
