
Christine “Tina” Ellen Bensley, age 77, died on January 9, 2022, in Moyock, North Carolina.
Christine was born on May 1, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland. She graduated from Dundalk High School in 1962. She served 4 years in the United States Air Force, was a Vietnam Vet serving tours in Guam and Korea as a COM expert. After her military service, she began a successful career in Information Technology with the Federal Court System in Baltimore, Maryland.
Christine loved running, horses, and her cat, Teddy Roosevelt. She was loved by many friends in Baltimore and in Florida. She was an expert computer coder and loved building computers, as well as, drawing electronically. Her family will always remember her spunky attitude and fun-loving sense of humor during Holiday gatherings.
Christine is survived by her brother, Norman Hess of Bel Air, Maryland; her sister, Juanita Cooper of Elizabeth City, North Carolina; nieces, Annemarie B. Stavish, of Moyock, North Carolina and Sue Bensley Fricker, of Jacksonville, Florida; and nephew, David Bensley of Gates, North Carolina. She is preceded in death by her beloved brother, George Lewis Bensley Junior and their mother Mary.
A service at sea will be held at a later date. Memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated by her.
