Craig Killgore, 61, of Colington Harbour, NC passed away at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC on April 3, 2021. He was the most doting Father to his daughter, Christen Killgore, and also a loving Papa to his granddaughter, Madison Killgore. He was also a loving husband, preceded in death by his late wife, Cheryl Killgore.

He was born August 12, 1959 in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Craig was the son of James Killgore I and Beverly Robinson. He was also the baby of three siblings, James Killgore II and Gary Killgore, whom he was very close with up until his passing.

When he first moved to the Outer Banks, he and his late wife Cheryl, opened up a restaurant, Updrafts Pub. After getting out the restaurant business, he then went to work with Ships Watch Resort doing maintenance work. After which, he did respected work with Twiddy and Company Vacation Rentals. In 2000, he and his late wife Cheryl opened their own pool cleaning company, Three Seas Inc. Through the years with his own company, Craig made numerous lifetime colleagues and connections turning customers into friends. Although Craig was devoted to his company, he was first and foremost a dedicated family man.

The family will receive friends and relatives for a gathering at Twiford Colony Chapel in Manteo on Friday, April 9, 2021, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers to the family, memorial donations in honor of Craig may be made to the Beach Food Pantry at PO Box 468, Kitty Hawk, NC or online at www.beachfoodpantry.org.

Christen and Madison, Jimmy and Gary,
My heart goes out to all of you with the recent loss of my dearest friend Craig. He loved all of you so very much and adored his Christen and Madison and I’m glad he was able to be a Grandfather before his passing.

We had so many wonderful times in our 35 year friendship. I know he is smiling now that he is with Cheryl.
I am here for all of you during this sad time. I know he is at peace.

Peace be with your hearts and know he was loved very much in my heart.

With much sympathy and love,

We are so sorry to hear of Craig’s passing. He was our pool guy since purchasing our property in Rodanthe in 2012. He was an honest and respectful man and provided good service. Always a kind comment and a joke to be had. He will be missed. Our condolences his family and friends.

Condolence from John Myers on April 13th, 2021 8:08 pm

I just hear about Craig’s passing. We (John-Jim)are so sorry for your loss. 13+ years ago when my wife Beverly and son Jim started their pool business on Hatteras Island (Endless Summer) , Craig was so helpful explaining the ins/outs about running a pool/hot tub service business. He not only provided “in-season” service tips but also pool/tub wintertime closing procedures. He was truly a “good guy” and will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Although Beverly passed on in 2020, I still have good memories of her telling me to get back to work dumping/cleaning hot tubs and stop bothering Craig/Bobby with my stories. God Bless. John Myers

Condolence from Paul and Joanne Steindorf on April 22nd, 2021 11:15 pm

Christen, sorry to hear of Craig’s passing. He and his crew provided me with pool and spa service for my rental home in Nags head since 2003. He always went the extra mile. I remember talking with him about his favorite fishing charters when I was at the cottage. He helped me several times with deploying hurricane shutters. He called me once to let me know the renters had an RV parked in the middle of the yard, over the septic field. He was a good guy. You and your family have our sympathy.
