David Alan “Red” Loper, age 54, of Patrick Drive, Hertford, NC died suddenly on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center. He was born in Colorado on May 31, 1967 to Patricia Ann Fitzwater Wilson and Jackie Lee Loper and was the husband of Coral Earnest Loper. He was the owner of Red’s Pilot Car and was loved by all, especially his work colleagues.
In addition to Coral, his wife of twenty seven years, he is survived by his son, Kenneth Jordan; his daughters, Rustie Loper and Crystal Loper; a granddaughter, Airana Loper; and his sister, Kay Loper.

I’m so sorry to hear this, my husband and I worked in the trucking industry and considered Red a friend as we all drove thousands of miles together. May God bless him and welcome him home.

It’s been 1 week tonight since I kissed you, told you I loved you and sad good bye. My heart is so broken.
