Dianne Marie Beach Southerland, age 76, of Elizabeth City, NC died on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Sentara Leigh Hospital.  Born in Columbus, GA on December 13, 1945 to the late Prather Beach and Mary Marie Hammonds Beach, she was the wife of Bobby Southerland.  She was a hairdresser by trade.

She is survived by her children, David Philip Woods (Anita) of Chesapeake, VA,  Jeffery Harrell Woods of Elizabeth City, NC and Amberly Goodwyn (Quentin) of Franklin, VA; a sister, Fronie Richey of Dallas, GA; and seven grandchildren, Dylan, Blake, Bill, Avri-Yanna, Christopher, Megan, and Quentin; and several nieces and nephews.  She was also predeceased by her son, Charles Henry Woods, Jr.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Holy Neck Christian Church, 4400 Holy Neck Road, Suffolk, VA  23437 with the Rev. Dr. Dave Meadors officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service at the church.
