Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Woickelman, age 75, of 115 Midway Drive, Grandy, NC died Monday, June 8, 2015 at her residence. She was born in 1940 in Meriden, CT to the late Albert and Ruth Ann Williams Martancik and was the loving wife of Donald Francis Woickelman for fifty-five years. Mrs. Woickelman was devoted to helping people and she dearly loved her grandchildren. She was a lifelong resident of Higganum, CT and drove a public school bus for thirty years prior to retiring and moving to NC in 2002.
Mrs. Woickelman is survived by three sons, Peter, Jerry and Donald Woickelman; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, June 12, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, 100 Beacon Drive, Kitty Hawk, NC 27949. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life (Currituck County), 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC, 27834 or to the charity of one’s choice.
