Frankie Coburn, 62, of 1256 Salem Church Road, Elizabeth City, NC died Monday, June 8, 2015 at his residence. A native of Norfolk, VA he was the son of the late CB Henry Coburn and Lena Twiddy Coburn and the husband of Carrie Johnston Coburn of the residence. He was the owner and operator of Coburn Casket Company.
Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Sandy Harrison and husband John of Russellville, AR, and Tiffany Martin and husband Bobby of Elizabeth City, NC; a son, Phillip Williams and wife Wendy of Chesapeake, VA; two sisters, Barbara Weber and Evie Mainzer both of Daleville, AL; seven grandchildren, Brandi, Candi, Randi, Kyle, Keith, Kohl, and Jacki; and three great grandchildren, Sean, Kenzie, and Carson. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, CB Henry Coburn, Jr., and Johnny Coburn.
Funeral services will be at Twiford Memorial Chapel, Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. F. Joe Griffith officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and at other times at the residence.
