Larry, I’m so sorry to hear of Jackie passing. It was always a delight to see you both together. Your smiles and your loving concern about Tamieka. You both set a fine example for Christian couples, striving to please Jehovah God as a family!! Knowing you for years, Larry, you have always been the spiritual man Jehovah wants you to be, concerned about Jackie, the congregation and one’s who were experiencing trials. Jehovah has not and will not forget the love you have shown for his name. Heb. 6:10. Jackie is safe in Jehovah’s memory.
We long to see the time when, she will stand up in the resurrection!!!
Larry, continue to do as Psalms 62 verse 8 says: Trust in Jehovah at all times and pour out your heart to him. He will prove to be your refuge and stronghold!!!!

Larry, Carolyn, Joyce and the Jennings family:

My family and I are so sorry for the loss of our dear loved one. Our love and prayers are, and will continue to be with you all. Jackie and I have been friends since we were kids. Her love, kindness, presence and friendship will truly be missed, especially by me. I loved her very much and it was indeed returned in so many ways. Please take solace in knowing that she is just sleeping in Jehovah’s loving arms as she awaits the resurrection which Jesus promised at John 5:28-29, and that she firmly believed in. We all look forward to seeing her and rejoicing with her at that glorious time. I will always be a phone call away for each of you.
Love you all dearly.

Condolence from Chuck and Joy Burks on May 29th, 2020 11:23 am

Bro. Shackelford,

We are so sorry to hear about Sis Shackelford’s falling asleep. She was always so sweet to me during my time in Elizabeth City. While the pain you are experiencing must be great, the relief is soon to come! She won’t be sleeping for long. She will be back in your arms so very soon. Make good mental notes; you’ll have so many details to convey to her about how this system came to its end! We love you and will be praying for your peace.

Condolence from Enoch Bond on May 30th, 2020 9:18 am

Brother Shackelford,

With Christian Affection

Condolence from Rickielle Lumsden on May 30th, 2020 11:29 am

Bro Shackleford, my daughter, myself and my whole family will dearly miss Sis Shackleford. As many have noted, she was so sweet, kind and genuinely sincere! She had an untainted and unbiased genuine love for her brothers and sisters. She displayed this love to me and my family in so many ways! She truly explemified Jesus’s command at John 13:34&35 that we should love one another just as he loved us and that we would be recognized by that love as his disciples. She will definitely be remembered by Jehovah and one day restored back to perfect health in his promised New order. Thank u both for all the constant Love you have always shown me and my family and may Jehovah keep you strong during this difficult time without your loving partner and best friend, Sister Jackie!

Love always, Rickielle Lumsden

Brother Shackleford,

We know that words are inadequate at a time like this, but we want to convey our heartfelt sympathy on the loss of our dear Sister Shackleford. Our hearts are broken, but we can gain comfort from John 11:25 “I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.”
We greatly appreciated all of the encouraging words Jackie shared with us as a couple and individually. We will genuinely miss her presence, smile, and upbuilding comments. Corey and I will always cherish the fine example the two of you set in showing love to your spouse and the congregation.

Joined in faith, sympathy, and agape love,
Corey and Joycelyn Hinton

Condolence from Brian E Hyman on May 31st, 2020 5:28 pm

Very sorry for your loss. It took me by great surprise. I do look forward to seeing her in the new system when all problems will vanish and I know you have the same hope as well. You and your family will remain in my thoughts and prayers and I pray for Jehovah’s holy spirit to give you the strength to get through these difficult times.

Condolence from Bobby E Hyman/Camellia on May 31st, 2020 6:47 pm

When someone you loves dies, we think of Rev. 21:3-4. It says we Will be at one with Jehoavh, and he with us, and Jehoavh will wipe out every tear from our eyes and death will be no more neither mourning nor the outcry of pain those ways of life will be of the past. Because the one sitting on throne is making all things new.

But most importantly, she will NEVER be missing from Jehovah’s memory and the day will come when Jackie will return to you and us! Meanwhile, leave your burdens with Jehovah and never hesitate to call upon all of your earthly brothers, sisters, friends, and family who care so much about you and are ready and willing to provide comfort and help you endure this critical time.

Hold on and remain steadfast! You are not alone!
