Janice Pritchard Seymour, age 91 of 149 Seymour Drive, Camden, NC died Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at W. R. Winslow Memorial Home. She was born June 28, 1924 in Pasquotank County, NC to the late Percy Adrian Pritchard and Mary Brite Pritchard and was the widow of Erving Bartlett Seymour. Mrs. Seymour was a retired Sprint Service Representative. She was a dedicated member of the Camden United Methodist Church and the choir which she dearly loved. She was a loving sister, wife, mother and grandmother who delighted in the presence of her family.
Mrs. Seymour is survived by four daughters, Wrae Seymour Collins of Camden, NC, Brenda Seymour Daniels and husband Terry of Elizabeth City, NC, Peggy Seymour Gibson and husband Joe and Betty Seymour Bray and husband Vernon all of Camden, NC; nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a devoted sister-in-law, Margaret Butler Pritchard. She was preceded in death by a sister, Emily Reid and a brother, Dr. W. F. Pritchard.
The family wishes to extend their special thanks to caregivers, Theresa Sessoms, Emma Butts, Rita Banks and Keerika Wise and the staff at W. R. Memorial Nursing Home for all the loving care given to Mrs. Seymour.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Camden United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. David Moehring. Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Camden United Methodist Church Building Fund, 197 NC Highway 343 South, Camden, NC, 27921. The Seymour family is served by Twiford Funeral Home, Memorial Chapel, 405 E. Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC.
