
Joseph Miner Thomas, 68 of the 1000 block of Crosswinds Drive, Elizabeth City, NC died Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at the Sentara Albemarle Medical Center. A native of Middletown, NJ, he was the son of the late Joseph Albert Thomas and Florence Miner Thomas and the widower of Therese Havranck Thomas and Allyn Patricia McCarthy Thomas. Mr. Thomas was retired from the NC Department of Transportation as an Engineering Technician, a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Viet Nam War.
He is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Perry and husband Michael of Hertford, NC; a son, Jeffrey Thomas and wife Candace of Raleigh, NC; a stepson, Matthew Wrublewski and wife Becky of Forest Grove, OR; and five grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a son, Joseph Thomas.
