Laura Jeanine Daniels Paul, 82, of Winterville, NC died Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Brookdale W. Arlington Blvd in Greenville, NC. Mrs. Paul currently resided with her daughter Lourie.
A native of Wanchese, NC, she was born February 20, 1939, to the late Gladys Richardson Daniels and Ruford Anderson Daniels. She spent most of her life in her hometown of Wanchese.
Laura was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cleaning her home and cooking for her family. She and her husband often volunteered and helped others.
She is survived by three children, Lourie Proctor (Ralph) of Winterville, NC, Susan Maione (Joe) of Nags Head, NC, and Michael Paul (Kim) of Elizabeth City, NC; seven grandchildren, William Proctor, Oliver Proctor, Vincent Maione, Gennaro Maione, Kristi Smith, Kurtina Woolard, and Harley Paul; and three great-grandchildren, Gwen Walker, Jayda Smith, and Jaxon Woods. Also, surviving is a sister, Reba Conrad of Tega City, SC; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her husband, George Edward Paul; sisters, Viola Luke (Frank), Thelma Baum (Somers); brothers, Robert Daniels (Loma), Dennie Daniels (Elaine), and Tommie Daniels (Edna); and brother-in-law, Bob Conrad.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at Twiford Colony Chapel. Private burial will follow in Cudworth Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service. Following the funeral, all are invited to join the family at the home of Susan Maione in Nags Head, NC.
