Leslie Ray Anderson, 62, of Barco, NC was called to his Heavenly home on October 12, 2021.  Anderson was a native of Chesapeake, who called Currituck County home. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Kerri Cason, and her daughter Karli Cason.

He is survived by his parents, Jesse and Gayle Anderson; his brother, Dennis and wife Carisa Anderson; his sister, Lori Michel and partner Kenny Amaral; nieces Ellen, Krysten, and Laura; nephews Adam, Ryan, Bobby, and Weston; bonus daughter, Saydi Nelson; and bonus granddaughter, Kensley; great- nephews, Race, Jesse, Dale, Wade, Luke and Blake all of North Carolina; and countless friends located from the east coast to the west coast.

A private memorial service will be held on October 27, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Diggers Dungeon.  The family asks that you send flowers to Diggers Dungeon, 5650 Caratoke Highway, Poplar Branch, NC  27965.  Twiford Funeral Home, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC 27909 is assisting the family of Mr. Anderson.  Online memorial condolences may be sent to the family at www.TwifordFH.com.

I was shocked to hear about Leslie, I had the privilege to work with him at RPC, he always kept me laughing with the stories he would tell job. always had a bag of goodies he would give me when we worked on the same job. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you!❤ R.I.P. Less.!!!!

I remember him when he came in to advance auto, would keep you laughing for hours. Told stories of the old truck days, how hard it was to keep them on the track and those solid seats. I am shocked, he was a real true man of men. Prayers to the family.

To all the Anderson family. We were shocked to hear about Les. The entire Cooper family sends it fondest and heartfelt condolence to the Anderson family. Our relationship with Dennis goes back at least 35 years. My business with Les always found him to be quite a man! A good man. A memorable man that will be sorely missed! Such a sad and untimely loss. Prayers to the entire family.

Only knew him as Hoof but he was certainly one of Currituck’s more interesting characters. He was larger than most and had a heart to match. He helped my mom one day with a flagpole light issue and would not take any money. So sorry for the family and wishing them comfort at this time.

Our condolences to the whole family such a shock. Les and I have done quite a lot of business together the last few years Crazy big Hearted man made alot of mistakes over the years but who hasn’t.. Just did a little bartering and was in the process of trying to get him to come down on old boat in the yard…first time I met him he was getting out of a dump truck in January barefoot then I realized why his nickname was Hoof…Gonna be missed… Diana and Rick Hewitt
