Norma Jean Boyd Blair, age 67, of Moyock, NC died on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at her home. She was born in Plymouth, NH on January 29, 1954 to the late Norman Sanborn Boyd and Meryl May Ward. Norma loved to dance and sing Patsy Cline songs, especially “Crazy”. She was a free spirit and had a lot of friends that she loved just hanging out with and playing pool at Virginia Beach establishments over the years. She loved to cook for people and, in the end, she loved sitting quietly and just watching the birds. Although she eventually died from lung cancer, she fought a hard fight to stay around for her family for as long as she possibly could. Her daughter and grandchildren meant everything to her.
She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer M. Giampa of Virginia Beach, VA; two sister, Patricia Stiles of Moyock, NC and Anita Blackwell of Chesapeake, VA; four brothers, Ricky Akerman of NH, Danny Boyd of SD, Edward Boyd and Jimmy Boyd; and three grandchildren, Desiree L. Giampa, Shaniah R. Lamb, and Dominick J. Lamb, all of Virginia Beach, VA. She was predeceased by a brother, Norman Boyd.
